Wedding Style - Classic Elegance

Alexandra and David chose Inviting Invitations Graceful Deco Wedding Stationery for their reception, using black print on white shimmer card.

After a traditional Catholic ceremony at the grand Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the reception was a perfect example of old world classic elegance. Held in a formal marquee on private property in Murwillumbah, overlooking vast green cane fileds. The colour scheme in the marquee was white with a touch of black - just like a Chanel perfume box. When Alexandra saw the Graceful Deco stationary, she loved the white shimmer card, with a touch of black that exuded an old world elegance. The black tie dress code saw the gents attire reflecting the day`s theme too.

Alexandra wore a heavily beaded vintage inspired Helen English gown along with a bespoke By Sasha latte silk rose in her hair which complemented the beading in her dress beautifully. Her bouquet was a posy of white and dusty pink David Austin roses. Her 4 bridesmaids wore Rose and Ruby dusty pink floor length gowns with delicate lace detail. The groom, 4 groomsmen, and fathers of the bride and groom looked dashingly handsome in their full white tie tuxedos from Peppers Double bay. They wore ivory and dusty pink button holes to complement the bridesmaids perfectly.

At the reception, guests were seated with individual place cards and were able to peruse the sumptuous menu, in a DL folded style. Each table was given a name, on two A6 tent style folded cards to reflect special locations in the couple`s life, like Muswellbrook, Wesley, Edinburgh, Ascot and Bellevue Hill.

Below: The Bride and Groom made a grand entrance to the reception, with the groom driving his waving bride in an original Fiat 500 Bambino.

The bride followed tradition by wearing her grandmothers antique sapphire ring, something old and something blue. Her borrowed veil from her dear friend, her new G&L Handmade shoes, complete with a sixpence under the sole. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in your shoe!

Below: A month after the wedding, Alexandra and David sent our personalised thank you cards for their guests, featuring a beautiful black and white photograph of their day.

A big hit at the reception with the men were the name tags shown above - these allowed male guests to label their suit jackets to hang on the coat rack. No more lost or accidently swapped black tie dinner jackets. They thought of everything!

Alexandra and David wish to thank
